Directions from Canberrra for Huskisson B&B, 12 Tomerong St, Huskisson

If you are coming from Canberra allow at least 3 hours at least (with stops) unless it’s a busy Friday night or long weekend. Beware as the GPS may take you via route 3.

Route 1 by coast: Via Braidwood and Batemans Bay. Then onto Princes Highway north

Route 2: Via the Kangaroo Valley. North onto Hume Highway via Goulbourn and Moss Vale. Then head for Nowra down through Kangaroo Valley. This is a beautiful but mountainous drive. You join the Princes Highway above Nowra and turn right (south).

Route 3: Tarago/ Sandy Point/ Nerriga / Nowra route is ‘cross country’ and through Morton National Park and back roads which only takes 2.5 hours. Sections of this road are remote. (Not advised if it has been extremely wet weather as there are a couple of river fords and about 4kms of dirt. The Turpentine Road is still dirt for 18kms and can be avoided if you go via Albatross & Nowra). Good for locals, regulars & adventurers.

Directions from the North for Huskisson B&B

If you are coming from Sydney allow 2.5 to 3 hours unless it’s a busy Friday night or long weekend.

You can drive down the Princes Highway (past the airport and follow signs to Wollongong and then Nowra) or Hume Highway (through Southern Highlands, down the mountain to Kangaroo Valley then join the Princes Highway just above Nowra).

Another way is to turn right and drive through the Royal National Park to Stanwell Tops and down Wollongong’s Northern Beaches including the new and dramatic Seacliff Bridge. Much slower but a beautiful scenic ‘Tourist Drive’.

The ‘Princes Highway all the way’ route is the simplest!

Whichever way you choose, when you get to Princes Highway head SOUTH to Nowra.

Follow Princes Highway past South Nowra (where all bed/tile/pine shops are).
12 km after South Nowra turn left into Jervis Bay Road.
After 9 kms (approx) turn left into Huskisson Road (signposted for Huskisson and Vincentia).
After 5kms you arrive in Huskisson (50km zone). On the left you will see a garage, the police station and then ‘The Trading Post’ shop. We are three doors down on the right – a green weatherboard cottage set back behind trees. You can see the sign Huskisson B&B.

Please check in from 3pm.
